Caroline started working for the company straight from school in 1987. She has worked in technical support since 2000 and also has experience of working in customer services, marketing and conduct risk. She currently heads up the Technical Support team.
Clare Moffat

Clare qualified as a lawyer and Notary Public in September 2002 and is a member of the Law Society of Scotland and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. Post qualification Clare spent five years at Aegon Scottish Equitable in the legal department before moving to Pinsent Masons LLP in November 2007.
While at Pinsent Masons, Clare acted for many different pension providers before moving to Prudential for over six years and ended up leading the pensions side of the external facing technical team.
Clare joined Royal London in April 2018 and is responsible for the technical and marketing compliance teams as well as presenting, writing articles and commenting for the press and developing adviser facing content.
Clare is also involved in consumer and wider industry issues and is Royal London’s pension and legal expert and has appeared frequently on the BBC talking about a range of topics. Clare is a mum of 3 and enjoys holidays, running and socialising.
Craig Muir

Craig joined the Life & Pensions industry straight from university in 1988, putting his degree in Biological Sciences to great use by joining Scottish Widows before moving to Royal London. He has held several roles, including proposition training and development officer for Royal London before finally putting his analyst degree to use when he moved to Marketing in 1997 where he specialised in market research and analysis.
Craig became Chairman of LAMRA, an informal association of Life Assurance providers, in 2004 as he worked to improve marketing and market research standards within the Financial Services Industry. Taking up a new role as an Intermediary Development & Technical Manager at the start of 2011, Craig is a specialist in interpreting and explaining changes to the pension rules and regulation.
Craig is involved in developing adviser facing content, presenting, writing articles and commenting for the press. Craig is an avid rugby fan and continues to follow the lows and lows of Scottish rugby.

Dougie has worked in Financial Services since the late 1980s. With experience in customer service, product maintenance and more recently technical support.
Fiona Hanrahan

Senior Pensions Development and Technical manager
Fiona has worked in financial services since leaving the University of St Andrews in 1998. She has worked mainly in technical roles although has also worked as a Chartered Financial Planner. She has worked for Royal London since 2015.
Fiona is involved in developing adviser facing content, presenting, writing articles and commenting for the press. Fiona is a fellow of the Personal Finance Society and has an MBA from the Open University. She is also the current president of the Insurance Society of Edinburgh.
Fiona has young twins who take up most of her spare time although she likes visiting new cities, going to the cinema and keeping fit.

Gregor’s exposure to financial services began back in 2011. Most of his early career was spent at Standard Life where he was a presenter in the workplace pension engagement team. He joined Royal London in 2018 to spend more time on protection in the Intermediary market.
Gregor is involved in developing adviser facing content, presenting, writing articles and commenting for the press. Gregor is also studying towards a Diploma in Financial Planning through the CII.

Jennifer Gilchrist is Proposition Specialist for Royal London’s protection business. Having worked in the industry for over 30 years, she has a wealth of experience in strategy, research and developing protection products and is a frequent press commentator. Jennifer’s had many articles and comment pieces published in the trade press.
Outside work, you’ll often find her pounding the Liverpool streets at 6am on a misty morning. She’s also an avid tennis fan but that extends to watching rather than playing!

Justin Corliss

Justin’s first foray into Financial Services was in Australia in 1997 with Commonwealth Bank of Australia working predominately in retail mortgage lending.
In 2002 Justin and his British wife moved to Scotland where he worked in broker consultant roles with both Scottish Widows and Scottish Life before spending a brief period as an Employee Benefits Consultant dealing predominately with Auto Enrolment and associated business consultancy.
Justin is involved in developing adviser facing content, presenting, writing articles and commenting for the press. Justin has studied continuously since arriving on these sunny shores and holds the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning including the CeMap and Lifetime Mortgage qualifications. His primary focus is pension planning and he holds the AF3 & AF7 qualifications.
A huge sports fan, Justin will happily discuss the merits of the Australian cricket team for hours on end.

Shelley Read

Shelley has worked in financial services for over 25 years, starting her career in the Mortgage world and then from 2008 in protection field Face to Face Sales. Shelley was originally with Bright Grey and Scottish Provident and latterly representing Royal London in the West Midlands and Warwickshire area. Shelley moved to her current team in July 2017 and now covers all of the UK. Shelley is involved in developing adviser facing content, presenting, writing articles and commenting for the press.
Shelley therefore has an in-depth knowledge of the mortgage and protection market and her strengths have been training and coaching advisers to recommend protection solutions to their clients and delivering this coaching in an easy to understand and simple way. Shelley’s area of expertise also includes Family Protection and Business Protection.
Shelley hosts a monthly book club in Sutton Coldfield and also enjoys attending various cookery courses both at home and abroad to improve her cooking skills and her love of entertaining friends and family.
