Ovarian tumour of borderline malignancy/low malignant potential – with surgical removal of an ovary

An ovarian tumour of borderline malignancy/low malignant potential that has been positively diagnosed with histological confirmation and has resulted in surgical removal of an ovary.

For the above definition, the following is not covered:

  • removal of an ovary due to cyst.

Change from the previous definition

We removed this additional condition in October 2016 and added within the Carcinoma in situ (other) definition, however we brought this back as its own additional condition in December 2018.

Previous definitions

The separate definition of borderline ovarian tumour was removed in October 2016 as this condition will now be covered under the new definition: Carcinoma in situ (other).
