Multiple sclerosis – with past or present symptoms

A definite diagnosis of multiple sclerosis by a consultant neurologist. There must have been clinical impairment of motor or sensory function caused by multiple sclerosis.

Change from the previous definition

We no longer require for symptoms to be present, as long as they've been present in the past.

A definite diagnosis of multiple sclerosis by a consultant neurologist. There must be clinical impairment of motor or sensory function, or a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis supported by findings of clinical objective evidence on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
