Less advanced neuroendocrine tumour (WHO grade 1) – treated with surgery
A definite diagnosis of a neuroendocrine tumour (WHO grade 1) that has been treated by surgery to remove the tumour.
For the above definition, the following are not covered:
- tumours treated with radiotherapy, laser therapy, cryotherapy, or diathermy treatment.
Up until December 2023, this condition was combined with Gastrointestinal stromal tumour (GIST), but we have now split these out into two separate additional conditions.
Change from the previous definition
We removed this additional condition in October 2016 and added within the Carcinoma in situ (other) definition, however we brought this back as its own additional condition in December 2018.
