We hope that you can join us for a seminar that’s in your area.

You can register for either the morning or afternoon session where both speakers will be presenting.

The sessions will have a running time of 90 minutes, with the morning session being held in Maidstone, and the afternoon session in Sussex. Food and refreshments are available at each venue before the seminars begin.

A CPD certificate of 45 minutes will be offered for each of the speaker's presentations.

Hear Director of Investment for Royal London Asset Management, Nersen Pillay, speak on 'Investing by the Clock'. Joined by Senior Business Development Manager, Craig Muir who will present 'Workplace Pensions - A Twist in the Tale'. 

After a very strong 2019 for equities and now with volatility in markets resulting from middle eastern tensions, while global growth has been improving and interest rates have been falling, Nersen Pillay will discuss why it is crucial to be Global, Diversified and Active and talk about our current global multi asset views reflected in the Governed Portfolios, GRIPs and MAST.

Nersen Pillay - Investment Director, RLAM

Nersen Pillay is Investment Director in the Multi Asset team, working on tactical asset allocation and the communication of investment strategies.  After studying economics at the University of Cambridge, Nersen joined Barclays Global Investors in 1995, where he became an Associate of the Society of Investment Professionals, and was involved in market strategy and ran active quant portfolios. After that, Nersen was a fund manager at Allianz Global Investors, working on global equity and multi-asset portfolios. Subsequently, Nersen has developed his global investment and client experience at Morgan Stanley, Citigroup and Haitong Securities, before joining Royal London Asset Management in March 2017.  Nersen has over 21 years of investment experience. 

Hear from Craig Muir as he talks about the UK workplace pensions market - the products being used and the experience of employers and advisers involved in this market. Craig also digs deeper into the adviser opportunities, like advising on business needs and dealing directly with the business owner and the people they employ.

Craig Muir - Senior Business Development Manager, Royal London

Craig joined the Life & Pensions industry straight from university in 1988, putting his degree in Biological Sciences to great use by joining Scottish Widows before moving to Royal London. He has held several roles, including proposition training and development officer for Royal London before finally putting his analyst degree to use when he moved to Marketing in 1997 where he specialised in market research and analysis. Craig became Chairman of LAMRA, an informal association of Life Assurance providers, in 2004 as he worked to improve marketing and market research standards within the Financial Services Industry. Now most recently senior business development manager for Royal London where he travels the country providing technical pension seminars to financial advisers. Now a senior business development manager for Royal London, Craig travels the country providing technical pension seminars to financial advisers.
