Making working online easy

You might not be able to see your clients in person, but you can still submit protection business with us. Our online service makes the remote application process straightforward. Our ‘send to client’ function means you can send the online application securely so clients can answer the underwriting questions themselves. And our tracker means you can see exactly where they are with their application.

We’ve also made our client pack available online. This removes the need to post a copy of the application, making the process quick and easy and providing peace of mind we’ve all the information we need in the event of a claim.

And the addition of online business trusts means your clients can now complete a signature free trust while applying for both Business Protection and Relevant Life Plans - making the trust process quick and easy.

Our 'send to client' feature makes the application process even easier for you and your clients.

After entering some basic information...

You have the option to send an application to your client to complete their medical details.

This feature can be activated at any stage - so you can partially complete sections first or send the full question set to your client.

Your client will receive an email from us.

And will be asked to log-in securely using their name and date of birth.

They can complete their details in privacy, at a time and place that suits them.

And joint lives are sent separate links, making the process even quicker.

Our send to client tracker gives you full visibility.

And you can access an application at any time.

You can see:

Whether your client has accessed an application since you sent it.

How many sections have been completed.

You can even click in to view it so if your client is stuck, you can help.

And you can view the progress of individual lives.

Once your client has completed their information, the application is returned to you – making sure you maintain complete control.

And it is you we will give our final decision to so you can relay this to your client.

We won't ask for GP or bank details until you and your client have decided to go ahead and we know that these are needed.

It's you that will then complete these final details before sending the completed application to us, so you’re in the driving seat every step of the way.

It really is that simple.

If your business is covered by a Royal London protection plan, you can access our independent helplines, where you can get information and advice from qualified professionals. Remember, your clients who have protection plans with us can also use these helplines.

Human resources helpline

You can get advice from Identify HR, a specialist recruitment company. If your business loses a key person, they’ll help with recruiting a replacement, writing job specifications, drafting adverts and briefing recruitment agencies. Details of potential candidates can usually be given within 48 hours. You can also get advice about Statutory Sick Pay.

Legal helpline

You might find you need legal guidance to help you understand your obligations as an employer. This service gives you access to legal help on matters like flexible working, furlough, redundancy and employment rights.
