Unipass is a simple, single solution that provides you with access to most online financial services.

Unipass may advise you by email to supply some or all of the following information during the application process:

A letter from a principal of your firm on your company's letter headed paper authorising you to apply for a Unipass.

Your Unique Reference Number (URN), which will be supplied to you.

A signed paper copy of the UNIPASS Data Protection Declaration (DPP). A copy of the DPP can be downloaded from the 'Contracts and Legal' area of the UNIPASS web site.

If you wish to apply for a Certificate Administrator's Unipass certificate, you must also provide a signed letter of authorisation from the contract signatory to give you permission to apply for the Unipass certificate.

Unipass can usually process applications within 5 working days of receipt of your documents.

The installation is automatic on collection of the Unipass certificate.

You will receive an on-screen message to confirm that your Unipass certificate has been installed correctly. At the bottom of the confirmation page there is also a link to a "Test My Certificate" page, which you can visit at any time via the "Look After It" area of the Unipass website.

Unipass certificates are valid for 1 year, starting from the day they are collected. You will be sent a reminder via e-mail 30 days prior to the Unipass 1-year expiry date.

From the home page select "Register" from the left-hand menu. Please complete the details requested and check the option to associate your Unipass digital certificate. Once you have done this you will be able to log on to Royal London’s Online Service without the need for a user ID and password.
