Steve has been highly supportive in championing the value of impartial professional advice and in recognising its importance in driving competition and helping to achieve good customer outcomes.
Responding to the announcement of Sir Steve Webb’s departure, Barry O’Dwyer, Chief Executive of Royal London said:
Royal London has been privileged to benefit from Steve’s extensive and unrivalled experience and knowledge. He has tirelessly campaigned to raise important issues, championing consumer rights and highlighting the many ways in which consumers can make the most of their finances to ensure they are receiving the right help and entitlements.
Sir Steve Webb added:
I’ve spent a lot of the last four years promoting the value of financial advice including Royal London’s recently commissioned research on the value of advice which Royal London will continue to promote after I’m gone. In my new role I’ll still be out-and-about commenting on pensions issues and will continue to stress the value of impartial financial advice to anyone who will listen.
