Making a single contribution can help boost your clients' pension savings.

One of the easiest ways for your clients to save more into their pension is to make a single contribution. They can do this at any time, so we've made it as flexible as possible.

Don't miss the ProfitShare deadline

If your client makes a single contribution into an existing Royal London plan* that qualifies for ProfitShare before 6pm on Tuesday 30 March 2021, this will be included in the pension savings used to calculate any award.

* To qualify for a ProfitShare award in 2021, the plan must have been in force on or before 31 December 2020.

How to make a single contribution

Our online solution has been designed to help you submit single contributions faster.

You can use our online solution for existing Pension Portfolio clients whose investment choice isn’t changing You can also complete the application using the online solution without a signature, when it meets certain criteria.


Complete applications online without a signature when there’s:

  • less than two years since the last single contribution
  • no change to adviser
  • no change to the adviser charge or no adviser charge applies

If the application doesn’t meet these criteria, you can still use the online solution. However, we'll need a signed form. You can download a pre-filled form from our online solution quickly and easily.

If you prefer, you can also complete a paper application form.

We have a shortened application form for clients who want to make a single contribution and whose investment choice isn’t changing.

If your client's changing their investment choice, you need to complete our additional contribution form.

You can submit both these forms using our personal pension online form. Here you can upload and securely submit an application to our servicing team. You can also upload any support documents.

Single contributions and tax year end 

If your client is looking to make single contribution into their pension ahead of the tax year end, we must receive their completed application form and the contribution should be cleared in our bank account by 6pm on Thursday 1 April 2021.
